About Roxi
Roxi runs at a slightly higher voltage than most rooms, and they tend to rise to meet her. She stands 168 cm with a curvy figure and long black hair, and her brown eyes widen when she laughs, which is often and loudly. She dresses in bright tropical colour: a cobalt slip, gold jewellery, an orchid clip in her hair on good days, sandals she would rather kick off. Right now she is away on a surf trip and returns on 28 September, probably with a tan and a new story.
Playful, confident and vivacious, Roxi is the companion for someone who wants their evening to have a pulse. Her English is quick and fluent. She trains at a boxing gym three mornings a week and throws a surprisingly fast jab. She listens to podcasts on everything from shipwrecks to astrophysics and will recommend one tailored to you by the end of dinner. Surfing is her obsession; London, she admits, is not ideal for it.
Which is why her Royal Docks evening begins at WakeUp Docklands on Royal Victoria Dock, where a cable pulls wakeboarders across the water under the City Airport flight path. She would love you to try; she will settle for you watching from the pontoon with a drink. When the light goes she is ready in something bright, and walks you over the high footbridge to dinner on the far side of the dock.
Roxi lives in Pimlico, around forty minutes out to the Royal Docks, and takes late evenings again from 28 September. This side of the river is Zone 3, so the round-trip cab fare is stated before you say yes. See the Royal Docks and ExCeL page for hotels; rates lists the lengths, and booking can reserve her return.

Roxi after six
Her ideal September evening starts on the pontoon at six. She rides the cable twice, falls once on purpose to make you laugh, and climbs out grinning and completely unbothered. Then the footbridge, high above the dock, with ExCeL on one side, the Wharf towers on the other and planes sliding down towards City Airport overhead.
Dinner is somewhere bright and noisy. She eats heartily, talks with her hands and asks you to name the three best podcasts you have ever heard, then disagrees with two of them in detail. She has boundless energy until about eleven, then suddenly turns calm, content and lovely, unhurried company as the night winds slowly down, as if someone had dimmed the lights on purpose.
Three questions for Roxi
Like a cousin you only see at weddings. Same family, very different personality, and it will still knock you over if you get cocky.
Tell me the last thing you were curious about. I have one for almost everything, including shipwrecks, bees and the history of the fork.
Enough to frighten a punchbag. I train mostly for the footwork, which is basically dancing with consequences, and it keeps me honest.
