About Sonya
Sonya has the stillness of someone who trained her body for years and then learned how to rest it. She is 162 cm, athletic and fine-boned, with hair that is long, straight and very dark brown, and hazel eyes that shift shade as the light moves. Her style is understated evening elegance: a fluid black dress or wide trousers with a silk top, low heels, hair drawn back to show the line of her neck. You will notice her scent before you see her, and you will not be able to name it.
Calm, thoughtful and warm, Sonya is the companion for a guest who needs the day to end properly. Her English is fluent, unhurried and kind. She meditates every morning and has done for years, and it shows in how little rattles her. Ballet shaped the way she moves, and she still goes to watch dance as often as she can. She collects rare fragrances and blends small quantities of her own, which is why nobody ever finds what she is wearing.
Her Stratford evening centres on Sadler's Wells East, the new dance theatre on the East Bank of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where the early programmes fit her five-to-ten window perfectly. She chooses seats with a clear view of the dancers' feet, watches in complete silence and talks afterwards about what moved her rather than what was technically perfect. Supper follows by the water, light and early, and the park is calm and lit on the walk back.

Sonya after six
Sonya's ideal evening starts at five, when most people are still answering emails. She meets you in the hotel lobby, hair back, a faint cloud of something like fig and cedar around her, and walks you across the park as the light turns amber over the stadium. At the theatre she settles into her seat, breathes out slowly, and watches.
Afterwards she wants to talk about one moment, just one: a turn, a lift, a pause that surprised her. Supper is light and early. She asks good questions and leaves long, comfortable spaces for the answers. By ten you are back at the hotel, oddly rested, as though someone had gently turned down the volume of the whole week and left it there.
