Booking after hours: one line, one check, a firm arrival time
Every booking here is made in writing, on WhatsApp or Telegram, and never by phone. It suits a full diary: a few lines typed in the lift, a reply before you reach the lobby, and the whole arrangement kept in a single chat you can reread later.
From first line to the door
Each step lights another floor. Most bookings run from the first message to her arrival inside an hour.
Fix the hour and the building
Know four things before you write: which day, what time, how many hours and where you will be. A hotel room, a serviced apartment and a private flat all work.
Step 01 of 05Choose her, or let Philippa choose
Pick a portrait on the Tonight page, or describe the evening, a client dinner, a late supper, a quiet room, and Philippa puts forward a shortlist of two or three.
Step 02 of 05Send the script
Paste the message below into WhatsApp or Telegram with each bracket filled in. A reply follows within ten to fifteen minutes, day or night.
Step 03 of 05One check
Sent once on WhatsApp: the full name your hotel holds for you, the hotel and the room. At a private address, the address itself is verified.
Step 04 of 05Confirmed, then she sets off
The reply names her, the fee and her arrival time. She arrives dressed for the building, and you settle her fee with her privately.
Step 05 of 05
Or send this
Fill in the brackets, paste it into WhatsApp or Telegram and send. Philippa answers with a companion, the fee and an arrival time.
Hello, I would like to book [name] on [date] at [time] for [duration]. I am staying at [hotel name], and will share the room number on confirmation.
How long each stage takes
The first reply lands within ten to fifteen minutes with a name, a fee and an expected arrival. On the estate at Canary Wharf or along the river in Wapping her knock usually comes within the hour of confirmation; the Royal Docks and City Airport can take a little longer. To secure one particular companion on a Friday or a show night, write by mid-afternoon.
Why the check exists
It proves to both sides that the booking is genuine, and it tells her exactly which door she is heading for. The details reach the desk and her, nobody else, and they are cleared once the evening is over. Arriving from the airport? Send the hotel and the time first, and the room number after check-in.
Requests that never come from this desk
A card number, or a photo of your card. Your passport or ID of any kind. Gift cards, vouchers, cryptocurrency. A "release fee", an "insurance" payment or any fresh charge invented halfway through a conversation. You pay her yourself once she is at the door, so any message asking you to send money beforehand, from whatever account, is not ours.
Before you send it
Send the new number to the same chat. She is told before she goes up, and nothing else about the booking moves.
Never. Your employer and your job play no part in the booking, and the check stops at the name on the room, the hotel and its number.
Yes. Each one is confirmed on its own, with the same companion or a different one, and each is checked on the day itself.
At any hour, since the desk never closes. After midnight the choice narrows as companions finish their evenings, so an earlier message brings more names.
Start with one line
Date, time, length, building. That is everything the desk needs to begin, whether it is lunchtime or long past midnight.
